EddySonix ARS/ARI — ECNDT 2026 Presentation
This ECNDT 2026 presentation introduces the EddySonix Acoustic Resonance Testing platform for non-destructive evaluation of cast and advanced-manufactured metal components. The presentation covers two excitation methods: Acoustic Resonance Sweep (ARS) for small PM, MIM, AM, and aerospace-type components, and Acoustic Resonance Impact (ARI) for large cast components such as brake calipers, knuckles, and other cast-iron parts. Both methods share the same EddySonix modal-analysis workflow: multi-channel acquisition, mode fitting, stable mode labeling, feature extraction using modal frequencies, damping, and selected frequency ratios, followed by statistical and machine-learning-based decision criteria.
